Inspired by this post I enjoyed a day trip to Bundanoon from Canberra. Only $2.50! I caught the morning train up and the afternoon train back. Plenty to see and it was a bit of a rush so next time I will catch the evening train home.

Yes, there is a daily train service from Sydney to Brisbane – the Brisbane XPT. The train departs Central station at 14:41 and arrives in Roma Street, Brisbane the next morning at 04:53.

It’s a long trip! May I suggest you try to get a sleeper.

Hi Su.
I hope you finally made it to your destination without too many problems. Sunday is the worst day of the week for this trip as the only Opal train out of Goulburn after the XPT departs is the 21:07 which terminates at Moss Vale. The next train out of Moss Vale to Sydney leaves the next morning (Monday) at 04:05. I hope you found a comfortable hotel/motel room in Goulburn for the night!
